Beaches

North Lake Tahoe, California

Every year since I can remember, I have gone on vacation with my family to Lake Tahoe. I always hope while I am there, I'll be able to catch an awesome sunset....and this year I was super lucky! We stay in the north shore, near Kings Beach (one of my most favorite places in the world).

With my job, one of our most favorite place to visit during the summer time is China Camp Beach. I love the history of the old rustic pier and boats. SO much fun to shoot!

Butterflies

Butterfly Garden, Petaluma California

This was such a fun day! I got to spend some time with a dear friend, learn about all sorts of different butterflies and moths, and hunt and capture the butterflies with my camera. It was a beautiful day and the butterflies put on a brilliant show.

On one of my work days we went to beautiful Lake Anza and we were being followed by this friendly butterfly. It was so generous to let me get some detailed close ups!

June Adventures

Angel Island, 

California

Last time I went to Angel Island I was about 7 years old and I remembered very little. So my Mother (Betsy), suggested we go explore and take photos. It was a beautiful day for the 5 mile hike. I really enjoyed the variety of subjects to shoot, as Angel Island carries not only elegant landscapes but sincere and captivating history.

Pinecrest 2012

(My first fishing trip)

Pinecrest, California is a beautiful place. This past weekend was my first time visiting and it was truly peaceful and serene. My mother and her parents, brother and sister used to take family vacations there when she was little. It was nice to see apart of her family history with my own eyes. I can't wait to go back.

I took a road trip to Hunting Lake, California with some friends in the end of May. It was a very interesting place. Sort of reminded me like Lake Tahoe a bit. We got there and it was snowing! The first time in 24 years it had snowed Memorial Day Weekend. It was a lot of fun. There weren't very many people there which made it very quiet and peaceful. Definitely a hidden beauty.

Golden Gate Park is one of my favorite place to shoot. I love the diversity of plants, flowers, animals and structures found within its admirable and enchanting manmade landscapes.
